Finding Your Way Pilgrimage Retreat for Women in Transition and Transformation
This is a 10 week program built around 7 days walking the Portuguese Way through Galicia - with online preparation before arrival and integration support after return. Join us on the Camino de Santiago as we walk the Spanish portion of the Portuguese Coastal Camino to Santiago de Compostela and explore the many parallels between pilgrimage and your process. It will be facilitated by Reina D’Hoore, a Gestalt therapist, coach and artist living in Santiago de Compostela. Facilitation will be in English, Spanish, Galician and French.
Maximum 8 women · From 2,500€ including lodging, breakfast, and dinner,luggage transfers between hotels. There are a limited number of single rooms for an extra $500.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Tui (Friday October 9)
Day 2: Tui – Porriño 16,4 km (4 hours) -10 Oct.
Day 3: Porriño – Redondela, 16 km (4 hours) – 11 Oct.
Day 4: Redondela – Pontevedra, 19,6 km (5 hours) – 12 Oct.
Day 5: Pontevedra – Armenteira 23,2 km (5 hours) - 13 Oct.
Day 6: Armenteira – Vilanova de Arousa 22,7 km (5 hours) – 14 Oct.
Day 7: Vilanova de Arousa - Padrón 30 km (3 hours – boat) – 15 Oct.
Day 8: Padrón – Santiago de Compostela 24,6 km (6 hours) – 16 Oct.
Day 9: Santiago de Compostela - 17 Oct.
Day 10: Post Camino excursion – optional – 18 Oct.
This itinerary includes a detour onto the Spiritual Variant of the Portuguese Way, a beautiful, less traveled Camino featuring travel by boat along the route that legend suggests was the route of the “stone boat” that brought the body of St. James to Galicia. This route is lined by monuments on the banks of the estuary.
POST-CAMINO EXCURSION
Following our walk we will be offering a 1 day excursion in a comfortable minivan to the beautiful Atlantic coast of Galicia. We will visit Finesterre (the end of the earth) and Muxia, two pre-Christian ends of the Camino on the Atlantic Ocean; Carnota, one of the longest beaches in Galicia and also a natural park, sacred land to the Celts; Muros, a Medieval fishing village. This excursion will include a meal and transportation.

Continuing Education Course for California Psychotherapists on the Portuguese Coastal Way of the Camino de Santiago
Fall 2027, specific dates to be announced
Join us on the Camino de Santiago as we walk the Spanish portion of the Portuguese Coastal Camino to Santiago de Compostela and explore the many parallels between pilgrimage and psychotherapy. This adventure will be an opportunity to learn about the process of pilgrimage, have a lot of fun, and earn 20 CE credits while being a part of a pilgrimage of a dozen women. This Camino will be facilitated by Patti Wiley, MFT, PhD, and Jozeffa Greer, MFT.
Being on a pilgrimage can be deeply transformative if done with intention, much like psychotherapy. A pilgrimage, like the therapeutic relationship, offers a safe “container” that encourages reflection and insight. Walking day after day without distraction in a beautiful natural setting with an ancient spiritual history allows for a visceral sense of there being a “bigger picture.” Like therapy, the Camino shows us how to just keep walking through the hard bits and the easy bits, noticing the small miracles along the wa
